Where we gather to practice new ways of seeing—co-creating forms and pathways that arise as we attune to the subtle architectures of what wants to emerge.
GATHERING
a constellation of artists, filmmakers, musicians, somatic practitioners, psychologists, and healers who feel called to build lighthouses—architectures of care through embodied practice that guide us toward a collective reimaging.
BUILDING
spirit-led communities through shared creative projects, meals, prayer, and the daily practice of care-centered community.
HOSTING
Workshops,
conversations, screenings, exhibitions, & prayer meetings, shaped by the community and the voices that sustain it.
PHILOSOPHY OF CENTER
(a work in progress)
“The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light.” — Matthew 6:22
CENTER is a point of emergence that holds the potential to birth awakening—at once a seed, a storm’s eye, a compass, a nucleus, a solar system, and a plexus.
It is the still point around which all motion turns — the gravitational source we move away from, only to find ourselves returning to again.
In the language of contemplative practice, finding Center is the development of spiritual awareness as we seek union with God. As Christian mystic Cynthia Bourgeault teaches, the center of being is not the mind but the heart — not sentiment, but the subtle organ of spiritual perception that sees with wholeness through surrender.
When we return to the Center, we work with our shadow to heal and find a path into “the realm of conscious love,” where the heart becomes a compass through chaos — a point that births creative order and a deeper communion with God’s love.
To find Center is to find Christ within the whirlwind, saying, “Peace, be still.” It is to discover that even in disintegration there is a pulse of resurrection, that every fragmentation calls us back toward union.
CENTER is a SITE.
A locus of embodiment — that becomes a shared ground for awakening and creation, that becomes collective practice.
CENTER is SIGHT.
To see from Center is to see with the heart —a seeing transfigured by mercy,
where the eye sees with truth and the body is filled with light. This is the awakening of the sacred center, the path through chaos illuminated by grace.
ABOUT MAGGIE
I am an artist, concept architect, prison abolitionist, and Christian mystic who weaves centering prayer, Jungian thought, and personal symbolism into a healing, creative practice. With more than a decade of experience leading multidisciplinary projects at the intersection of visual art, design, and social justice, I bridge award-winning collaborators, incarcerated artists, musicians, institutions, and grassroots organizations.
Rooted in sculpture and digital media, my practice spans fine art, filmmaking, animation, immersive environments, digital fabrication, and curatorial strategy. I hold an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and have taught at Bard College, NYU, Stevens Institute of Technology, and the Shanghai Institute for Visual Art.
For over six years, I have navigated the United States prison system and fostered community collaborations with incarcerated individuals across various correctional facilities, including the Columbia Secure Center for Girls, the Brookwood Secure Center for Youth, the Shawangunk Correctional Facility, and the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility .

PERSONAL STATEMENT
Between ruin and renewal, my work cultivates the possibility of a world reborn from fractured remnants.
Through a collage-based approach, I weave the physical fragments of images and material—digital, sculptural, and found—into reimagined landscapes. Like mushrooms dissolving decay into fertile ground, like oysters purifying our tide, I look to nature’s quiet alchemy as my guide. This process—transitional, interstitial, liminal—holds the breath before transformation. With a little bit of duct tape and some Elmers glue the blueprints of this world emerge not despite its brokenness, but because of it.
Emerging from the interplay of my individual studio practice and the synchronicities I encounter in my communal practice, I navigate and reconfigure the systems, architectures, and landscapes that oppress, control and confine. Rooted in prayer and communion with divinity, my work hopes to open thresholds—conceptual and material mappings that chart pathways through our fraught panoptic landscapes toward alternative realities, new beginnings, and renewed freedoms. Using mythological and metaphorical symbols, visualizations in my work disrupt and reimagine space, time, structures, and systems, bending rigid contours into fluid sites of possibility both through play and detailed observation.
